We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Grade Doctor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing both clinical and surgical assistance. This position requires a compassionate professional with a deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.

Job responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with existing and undiagnosed glaucoma along with other ocular conditions.
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual field assessments, optical coherence tomography (OCT), Volk, CCT, and gonioscopy.
- Provide management plans for existing glaucoma referrals.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding glaucoma management and treatment options.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* - Medical degree from a recognized university.
* - Valid GMC registration with a license to practice.
* - Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases.
* - Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
* - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* - Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

£80,000 a year. Pension, annual leave, Private Healthcare, Free laser eye treatment.
