Job Title: Plumbing and Gas Lecturer

Rate: £25p/h - £35p/h including holiday pay
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Gas Lecturer to join our educational team in Cambridge. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality, practical education in plumbing and gas installation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in nurturing the next of skilled tradespeople, providing them with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to excel in the industry.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and informative lectures and practical sessions in plumbing and gas installation.
* Develop and prepare comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that meet curriculum goals and objectives.
* Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their potential.
* Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Stay updated with the latest developments and technologies in the plumbing and gas sectors to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and expand program offerings.
* Participate in departmental and college activities, and engage with industry partners to enhance the educational program.
The successful Lecturer will have the following skills and qualifications:
* Teaching qualification i.e. AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education
* Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area.
* Extensive professional experience in plumbing and gas installation, with a comprehensive understanding of industry practices and regulations.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
* Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
* Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths to adults online
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
