While core Podiatry skills are essential and underpin clinical practice, access to MSK posts can often be delayed due to typical career pathways. At ABUHB, we aim to change that.
This is a dedicated MSK development post suitable for new graduates and experienced Band 5 Podiatrists. Your experience and skills developed working as a Band 5 within the NHS will determine how much of your time is spent in core services versus MSK. This is a personalized journey into MSK.
The goal is to be fully integrated into the MSK team with ambitions to advance your career as far as you wish.
Main duties of the job
* Assess and develop care programmes for patients with diverse health problems including musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological issues, circulatory deficits, and immunosuppression.
* Manage a clinical caseload using evidence-based, patient-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in community and other settings including secondary care.
* Provide domiciliary services for housebound, disabled children/adults, special educational needs schools, and vulnerable elderly adults.
* Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
