TEACHING ASSISTANT 2B WORKING IN OUR INCLUSION / SEND TEAM
The Governing Board of Ightenhill Primary School is seeking a dedicated, child-focused Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
This role will primarily involve working in Key Stage 2, providing tailored support for a pupil with SEND needs, focusing on both learning and behaviour.

Our Teaching Assistants Play a Vital Role In:
* Supporting learning in class and through small group interventions
* Providing individualised support for children with additional needs
Contributing to the wider pastoral care of our pupils as part of the inclusion team.

Essential Qualifications:
* GCSE English and Maths Grade 5 equivalent or above
* TA2 or equivalent qualification
Desirable Qualifications:
* Emergency First Aid
* Any other relevant qualifications
Essential Experience:
* Relevant experience worked with primary age pupils in a school setting
* An understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school setting
Desirable Experience:
* Experience working with children with additional learning, behavioural or emotional needs
* An understanding of Trauma Informed Practice
* An understanding of Autism and how to support pupils with ASD
