Business Development Manager (Middle East) Location: Colchester, Essex (45 minutes east of central London by train) About the Company Our client is a well-established international trading company, supplying specialist industrial equipment to major companies across a wide range of industries worldwide. Role Overview They are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to oversee and grow their successful markets in the Middle East. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth across the region through strategic planning, client engagement, and opportunity development. Key Responsibilities Research and identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the Middle East Promote the company’s full range of services to prospective customers Develop and implement a targeted business growth strategy for the Middle East Follow up on quotations with new customers and provide feedback to the sales team Coordinate and plan overseas business trips in collaboration with the Regional Manager Manage and maintain customer data using the CRM system. Candidate Profile Fluent in English ; additional language skills (particularly Arabic ) are advantageous but not essential Proven track record in a similar business development role Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the Middle East market and culture Confident, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong work ethic Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong organisational and project management skills Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Must have full right to live and work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Salary, Benefits & Working Hours Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–13:00 and 14:00–17:00 (37.5 hours per week); flexibility required for additional hours Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus public holidays Competitive salary - £45,000 - £70,000 and benefits package offered.
