The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Care Aide to join our Collie team, servicing the following areas: Allanson, Brazier, Buckingham, Cardiff, Collie, Collie Burn, Harris River, Lyalls Mill, Mcalinden, Mumballup, Mungalup, Noggerup, Palmer, Preston Settlement, Shotts, Worsley (might also be required to travel to Donnybrook and surrounds).

This is a permanent part-time role, offering a minimum contract of 36 hours per fortnight with a regular, ongoing roster.

Shifts available: Wednesday - Friday, 11:30-18:00

Our Care Aides deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible. Responsibilities include a range of personal care tasks incl. showering, grooming, toileting etc. and other support such as medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks and social support in the community. Care Aides will follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, therefore having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app, will be essential.

About you

* Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
* Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
* Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
* A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
* Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
