Elect Building and Maintenance is a UK leading specialist in Heating, Electrical Maintenance and Building Services across the North West.
We are currently recruiting for a number of roles for Domestic Gas & Heating Engineers who take pride in producing work of the highest quality to join our team across the North West of England
Work comprises of Installations, Servicing and Breakdowns in the following environment:-
* Social Housing
* Retail
* Office Blocks
* Sheltered Accommodation
* Commercial Buildings
*JOB TITLE: * *GAS ENGINEER*
*REPORTING TO:* *EET Director*
*MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: *The job holder must have
· at least 3 years relevant post qualification experience.
· working knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Umbrella Legislation.
· basic IT skills
*QUALIFICATIONS:* Gas Safe Registration
Up to date Gas Safe Card including CCN1 CENWAT HTR CKR
At least 3 years experience in domestic gas installations and maintenance.
*REQUIREMENTS: *
To take part in a rota and be available to work call outh
To have home telephone, preferably also having a mobile phone and internet access
To be physically fit enough to carry out the physical demands of the job.
To have a full and clean UK driving license
To meet the requirements of an enhanced criminal records disclosure
To be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
To demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of equality and diversity in the workplace
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
1. To carry out installations and maintenance at client’s premises as instructed by reporting manager.
2. To adhere to all company procedures as outlined in the handbook and managements system.
3. To represent the Company in a professional manner, particularly when on customer’s premises in terms of dress, attitude and work practices.
4. To be punctual and prepared to work in accordance with work schedules. To notify Head Office of any unauthorized absences before 08.30 am on the day.
5. To provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service which covers gas and mechanical disciplines.
6. To carry out modifications and installations when required.
7. To carry our planned and preventative maintenance when required.
8. To ensure you have ordered your materials a day in advance, with your manager.
9. To maintain, repair, and calibrate gas, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimize both reliability and maintainability.
10. To complete all paperwork accurately and submit on time each week.
11. To seek opportunities to introduce the Company’s products/services to existing and/or potential customers.
12. To work a minimum of 40 hours a week on site
13. To adhere to all Health & Safety at Work Regulations, Risk Assessments, Health & Safety Policy, and method statements.
