About the Opportunity
The Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) Team is responsible for transforming and supporting all the force's digital technology.
We are looking for a Network, Comms and Cyber manager with a background in supporting a multi-vendor environment and data centre infrastructure. We are currently engaged in significant transformational change across our estate, so if you’re a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is keen to join a team focused on the future, then this is a fantastic chance to be a part of our journey in supporting an emergency service in delivering critical IT systems to the frontline.
If you’ve got an IT management background that involves strong interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail and excellent customer service, we are looking for a Network Manager to join the in-house DDaT team within Staffordshire Police.
Located within the Technology arm of DDaT and reporting to the Operations Manager, this post is responsible for leading, motivating and inspiring the Networks, Communications and Cyber teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the security, integrity, availability, and performance of the voice, data and radio networks.
- Providing a Cyber security function which protects and educates the wider force in collaboration with business functions such as Learning and Development and Information Security.
- Mentoring, motivating and inspiring staff across wider DDaT.
- Ensuring the needs of the business are met across both business as usual (BAU) and project delivery activities.
- Supporting the Operations Manager, Senior Management Team (SMT) and the business in developing strategy.
- Working within an established ITIL change process
Essential:
- Experience within a networking or voice arena and a desire to succeed.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Must be prepared to join an on-call support rota for the duty managers when sufficient knowledge of the business has been acquired.
Desirable:
- Recognised management qualification.
- Knowledge of Cyber security and risk management
