Hours: 37.5 hrs, 9:00am – 5:30pm, hybrid working (2 days home, 3 days office).

Job Overview
Internal Communications Manager is responsible for driving engagement across the business, providing clarity, direction and motivation for key business activities. The role acts as a brand ambassador for Superdrug’s vision, mission and values and oversees communications across a variety of channels.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Internal Communications platform Pulse, Life at Superdrug social channels and LinkedIn.
* Liaise with different departments and business units to create a variety of communications and content.
* Work with stakeholders, including the executive team, commercial, healthcare, people, IT and distribution centre and store teams to deliver engaging communications across relevant channels.
* Operate from different locations as required, including head office, distribution centre or stores.
* Manage the Internal Communications budget.
* Support DEI and ESG strategies with communications plans throughout the year.
* Ideate, create and execute internal events, for example with suppliers.
* Share reporting and analysis of engagement and consult departments on opportunities to evolve their approach.
* Listen to customer feedback and implement new ideas and ways of working to improve service online and offline.
* Champion a customer‑first culture across online and offline platforms.
Qualifications / Skills
* Experience managing multiple projects and working with a variety of teams.
* Confidence in creating and executing multi‑layered communications strategies.
* Excellent creative and editorial ability across written, screen and face‑to‑face communication.
* Strong stakeholder engagement at all levels.
* Ability to create content and copy that reflects appropriate tone of voice, sentiment and clarity.
* Drive satisfaction through developing, delivering and reviewing campaigns.
* Network, build relationships and stay up‑to‑date with industry best practice.
* Strong relational skills and can manage complex messages with stakeholders.
* Role model collaboration to exceed goals.
* Positive attitude toward feedback and using it to generate initiatives.
What You’ll Need
* Core principles of internal communications and ability to deliver a strategy, measure success and review progress within a budget.
* Working knowledge of internal communications platforms or similar.
* Leadership experience with managing and developing direct reports.
* Confidence in managing up and down through the business.
* Use data and insights to challenge the status quo.
* Tech & AI awareness – role model behaviours to encourage confidence with AI and think critically about outputs.
* Balance AI efficiency with human coaching, empathy and team cohesion.
