About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and passionate Senior Practitioner to join a Safeguarding and Care Planning Team in South East London. This role is ideal for an experienced and ambitious social worker who is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for children, young people, and families.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will manage complex casework, support and mentor colleagues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practice. You will work within a small, well-resourced team structure designed to promote high-quality, relationship-based social work, with strong management support and regular reflective supervision.
The Service
The Safeguarding and Care Planning Service is dedicated to ensuring that children are safe, their voices are heard, and their outcomes improved through effective assessment, intervention, and care planning. Teams are led by experienced managers and supported by clear professional pathways, robust systems, and a culture that values innovation and collaboration.

About You
You will be a qualified and registered Social Worker (SWE) with substantial post-qualification experience in safeguarding, care planning, or a related area. You will bring:
* Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory responsibilities
* Excellent analytical, communication, and assessment skills
* A reflective, collaborative approach to practice and team working
