Employer & Partnership Coordinator
The Growth Company (GC) have an exciting opportunity for an Employer & Partnership Coordinator to join our Employment team. You will be responsible for the Employment Pathways, with a focus on brokering opportunities for young people, working with key stakeholders such as employers, training partners, Salford Council internal commissions, network providers and Career Connect.
Y0u will support the employer’s recruitment, workforce development and business needs. Support training partners with robust communication and course coordination. The post holder will promote and sell Skills, Training and Work Solutions and services to meet those needs.
GC are commissioned by Salford City Council (Salford Employ) to provide a job brokerage service to the residents of Salford. These jobs are promoted by Salford Employ, to specifically help Salford residents into skills pathways and/or sustainable employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a range of pathways into employment including liaising with training partners, employers, key internal and external stakeholders such as Career Connect.
2. Liaise with employers and other organisations to source placement opportunities that may lead to sustainable employment for Young People.
3. Provide a highly efficient customer focus recruitment and placement service including managing speculative and/or coordinated submissions to employers.
4. Co-ordinating the end-to-end Pre-Recruitment Training plans.
5. Provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates to suggest development areas.
6. Manage all vacancies so they are filled quickly and efficiently to the employer’s satisfaction.
7. Business development achieve agreed sales targets.
8. Present and promote appropriate product/services in line with the wider Growth Company/ Salford Council strategy.
9. Robust Communication with all stakeholders which will include (but not exclusively): case studies, marketing outcomes, customer data and MI.
10. Attend and organise local networking events, recruitment fairs, conferences to promote benefits of the programme.
11. Support the employment, skills, and training interventions around the full lifecycle of construction and the built environment, they will support the delivery of the Build Salford Strategy and outcomes.
12. Understand and maintain current knowledge of the local labour market and utilise this knowledge to further the aims of the programme.
13. Develop and implement a resident engagement and partnership plan, working with key Providers.
About you:
14. Excellent knowledge of the local labour market, methods of recruitment and growth industries.
15. Good knowledge of welfare to work and the customer base.
16. Have excellent end to end recruitment skills.
17. Knowledge of adult training provision.
18. Understanding of ESOL requirements and barriers/ challenges.
Skills Required:
19. Previous sales/recruitment experience is essential.
20. Recent experience of working to challenging targets within a sales environment.
21. Be confident in securing vacancies/placements.
22. Experienced in supporting Young People.
23. Delivery or selling of skills, training provision and/or recruitment services.
