Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s procurement strategy, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to ensure effective delivery of all purchasing operations.
* Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment, and services to meet project and operational requirements.
* Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements to achieve cost efficiencies and maintain quality standards.
* Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage performance through regular review and collaboration.
* Ensure on-time delivery of materials and services through proactive supplier and logistics management.
* Maintain robust procurement records and reporting using the company’s ERP and document management systems.
* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including Project Management, Operations, and Finance to ensure procurement supports project success and budgetary goals.
* Drive sustainability, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
* Manage the development and maintenance of the company’s Preferred Supplier List, ensuring a balance between reliability, competitiveness, and innovation.
The Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 5+ years experience in a senior procurement or supply chain management role with global sourcing experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
* Proven ability to lead and develop a high‑performing team.
* Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
* Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing and delivering measurable cost savings.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and experienced with procurement or ERP systems.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* A degree or professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline (CIPS qualification desirable).
