About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to join a dedicated AVD support function responsible for delivering a secure, stable, and high‑performing remote working environment.
If you enjoy solving complex EUC challenges, optimising virtual desktop environments, and working with modern Azure technologies, this is a great opportunity to step into a role with real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the AVD specialist within the team, you will:
* Support and administer the full Azure Virtual Desktop estate
* Provide hands‑on support to end users within a dedicated AVD support team
* Manage host pools, images, user/application access, resource groups and overall AVD configuration
* Optimise and support multi‑user environments using FSLogix and NetApp (or equivalent technologies)
* Ensure high availability, resilience and disaster recovery across all AVD components
* Travel occasionally to the Gloucester Business Park site when required (remote‑first role)
