Wigan – Permanent – Up to £30k per annum (DOE)
We are excited to be working with our well-established client who pride themselves on a modern approach. They are based within contemporary offices in Wigan and have exciting growth plans. Due to retirement, they are seeking an Assistant Accountant with practice experience to join their team. They have a varied client base with a turnover of £10 million. This role has great potential and will eventually lead to managing your own portfolio of clients.
Duties will include:
1. Monthly/Quarterly management accounts production – ensuring accuracy and delivering financial insights to help the business owners make decisions
2. Preparing VAT returns from prime business records
3. Preparing, finalising and sending out statutory year-end accounts
4. Assisting other teams with Bookkeeping, self-assessment tax returns, and Directors' tax returns
5. Using Sage50
6. Using CCH system for accounts preparation, Dext Prepare, and Excel daily. (Ideally, you will be advanced in Excel – can do Pivot Tables and Vlookups)

* Monday to Friday
* 9am – 5pm

The ideal candidate will have ambition and commercial awareness. Part-qualified (ACCA or AAT level 4) with experience of the year-end process will be confident on the phone and proactive when speaking to clients.
