Our client, a leading authority in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Network Management Streetworks Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis. This pivotal role focuses on the application and enforcement of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and its amendments under the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), along with local permit schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing and inspecting Streetworks within the highway authority
Evaluating the impact of utility project activities on the SRN/TLRN routes
Ensuring compliance with the Council's Network Management Duty
Developing and operating processes to coordinate planned network activities around utility projects
Job Requirements:
High level of knowledge and experience with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA)
Understanding of legislation pertaining to TMA 2004, Highway Act 1980, and NRSWA 1991
Experience in site inspections for compliance with relevant legislation and standards
Strong grasp of Health and Safety Legislation related to highway works
Capability to drive for site visits and inspections
New Roads and Street Works qualification
Preferred Experience:
Delivering high levels of customer service
Developing internal and external partnering arrangements
Managing the implementation of road works and street works
Analysing and interpreting complex information from various sources
Negotiating and consulting with stakeholders
Organising workload to meet targets and deadlines
