Job Description
Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Role Overview: Within the Environment Business Division (Water Treatment Infra and non-Infrastructure Engineering and Construction), an opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, primarily in the Water Industry, for clean water treatment below and above ground capital programmes. The candidate should ideally be based near the Affinity Water area and willing to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region. There is a local office in Rickmansworth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage project delivery outputs including programme, financials, health & safety, environmental performance, and progress for all schemes.
2. Manage staff at various levels, providing leadership, development, and retention.
3. Interact professionally with senior client representatives.
4. Understand NEC contract conditions and demonstrate commercial awareness.
5. Manage multiple projects to ensure delivery against KPIs and PIs.
6. Ensure all projects comply with health & safety, CDM, and environmental legislation.
7. Review RAMS, Process Impact Assessments, and environmental legislation.
8. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality systems.
9. Liaise with client staff to meet or exceed KPIs within budget.
10. Manage team objectives and support team members.
11. Assist with resource allocation and financial performance of projects.
12. Produce performance reports and participate in reviews.
13. Manage contract documentation, variations, and final accounts.
14. Develop detailed project programmes.
15. Coordinate with tendering, design, suppliers, subcontractors, and teams.
16. Procure plant, materials, and subcontractors.
17. Attend site visits, meetings, and ensure proper documentation.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent.
* H&S qualifications (desirable).
* IOSH or CITB SMSTS.
* CSCS card.
* Experience in water/sewage industries.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Strong team player with good time management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Positive attitude and team support.
* Decision-making ability for project success.
