Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: East Midlands
Salary: £41,700 + Shift Allowance
Hours: Rotating Continental Shift
Our client is a well-established manufacturing organisation with a reputation for operational excellence and innovation. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their East Midlands site and provide essential support for moulding machines, automation equipment, and ancillary systems.
Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
* Provide shift breakdown cover on all moulding machines, automation systems, and ancillary equipment
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maintain reliability and uptime
* Diagnose, fault-find, and repair machinery efficiently and safely
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency
* Collaborate with internal teams to achieve common business objectives
* Contribute to training conversations alongside the Maintenance Supervisor to develop peer skills
* Deliver improvement targets, including OEE, within your area of responsibility
* Assist other engineers as required
* Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies
* Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures
Requirements - Maintenance Engineer
* Time-served engineer with an electrical bias; multi-skilled candidates preferred
* Self-motivated with a focus on improving equipment effectiveness
* Experience in injection moulding or high-volume manufacturing environments advantageous
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
* Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
* Confident communicator, able to engage across all levels of the business
