Project Overview
We are looking for a native Italian proofreader to review and polish our product content for the Italian market ).
We already have the translated text for our marketing materials and product graphics. We need a meticulous proofreader to ensure the grammar is flawless, the tone is engaging, and the content is culturally appropriate for Italian shoppers.
Note: You will be reviewing graphics inside Figma, but you do not need to be a designer. You only need to use the "Comment" function to point out errors or suggestions.
Scope of Work
1. Text Proofreading (Word/Google Doc)
Review the provided Italian translation of our product text (Title, Key Features, Description).
Correct any grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, or awkward, machine-translated phrasing.
Ensure the tone is persuasive, natural, and appealing. (Italian consumers respond well to descriptive and engaging copy rather than dry, robotic text).
2. Visual Proofreading (In Figma)
Open our shared Figma file to view the product images and A+ Premium layout.
Read the Italian text inside the graphics to check for context and spacing.
Task: If you see a typo, awkward line break, or text that is too long for the design, simply leave a comment on that specific area in Figma for our designers to fix.
3. Localization Check
Verify that units of measurement are correct for Italy (e.g., using commas for decimals like 1,5 instead of 1.5, and metric units like cm/kg).
Ensure proper formatting for currency (e.g., 19,99 € with the Euro symbol usually placed after the number).
Requirements
Native Italian Speaker: You must be a native speaker from Italy.
Proofreading Excellence: You have a sharp eye for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Basic Tech Comfort: You are comfortable opening a link to Figma and using the "Comment" tool (instructions can be provided, it is very simple).
Amazon Experience (Optional): Familiarity with Amazon listings is a plus, but not required. High-quality, native writing is the priority.
Deliverables
Corrected Text: A document with corrections clearly marked (e.g., using "Track Changes" or a clear list).
Figma Comments: Annotations directly on the designs in Figma highlighting any errors or length issues in the graphics.
