As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a career-defining opportunity to work on high-impact projects that support national defence. Day-to-day, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the platforms and infrastructure we deliver meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. You’ll be supporting upgrades, maintenance, and modifications to the facilities and assets that enable the Royal Navy to operate effectively.
1. Providing guidance and support to project stakeholders on quality planning, delivery, and handover.
2. Supporting the development and review of Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
3. Overseeing the implementation of quality requirements across projects and supply chains.
4. Ensuring Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) demonstrate compliance with design intent.
5. Assisting Senior Quality Assurance Engineers with project lifecycle assurance activities.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer
6. Experience in quality assurance and control within an engineering sector, including supply chain functions.
7. Knowledge of change management, document control, and improvement initiatives.
8. Understanding of national and international regulatory obligations related to quality management.
9. Knowledge and experience of ISO : Quality Management System requirements.
Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer
10. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering or quality discipline.
11. Completed a recognised apprenticeship in an engineering field.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
