An exciting job share opportunity has arisen to join a busy community CAMHS service in the vibrant borough of Lambeth. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychotherapist to provide specialist assessments, formulation, and intervention for children, adolescents, and their families. The post holder will also offer supervision to a range of psychotherapists, trainees, and arts therapists.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading, managing, and planning the delivery of a highly specialist psychotherapy and arts therapy service to children, adolescents, and families in Lambeth CAMHS, including providing expert clinical input.
2. Monitoring and implementing professional standards in child and adolescent psychotherapy/arts and creative therapies, and providing professional supervision, under the supervision of the CAMHS CAG Professional Head of Psychology and Psychotherapy.
3. Creating a psychologically safe environment to enable staff, service users, and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish.
4. Conducting research, service evaluation, and audits relevant to Lambeth CAMHS and the CAG research agenda.
5. Ensuring good clinical governance, quality, and appropriateness of work conducted by Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, arts, and creative therapists.
6. Working autonomously within ACP guidelines and codes of conduct, interpreting and implementing relevant policies and procedures.

The London Borough of Lambeth has a population of approximately 317,800 (GLA 2020). The borough is highly diverse, with over 63% of residents describing their ethnicity as other than White British. The population includes significant Black (23%), White Other (22%), and Asian (6%) communities. Nearly a third of residents are non-UK born, with many speaking languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, and Somali. Lambeth has a child and youth population of nearly 70,000, over half of whom are aged 0-9.
Additional responsibilities:
1. Planning, organizing, and ensuring the delivery of child and adolescent psychotherapy, arts, and creative therapies.
2. Coordinating services with other agencies and providers for integrated care.
3. Providing highly specialist psychotherapy and psychoanalytic assessments, formulations, and interventions, achieving the level expected of a child and adolescent psychotherapist with a Professional Doctorate.
4. Providing culturally appropriate interventions with carers or families as needed.
5. Assessing and monitoring risk, and developing risk management plans.
6. Acting as Care Co-Ordinator, initiating and reviewing care plans, CPA coordination, and meetings.
7. Ensuring services are accessible and acceptable to the diverse communities served by Lambeth CAMHS.
