Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Consultant with advanced practical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365BC) to join our team in either Manchester or Wroclaw (Poland).
The selected candidate will provide in-depth technical hands-on support, troubleshoot issues, product and extention development, data migration, project support and optimise our D365BC environment—including ERP, Exflow Invoicing solution, Purchase Order and eInvoicing components.
This position encompasses three primary responsibilities: providing technical support for the ongoing Navision to D365BC rollout, optimising and developing existing instances to enhance performance according to best practices, and delivering technical life cycle management (LCM) for business-as-usual (BAU) issues and change requests (CRs).
This position requires close collaboration with Finance and IT departments across multiple locations to assess their needs and challenges, offering expert guidance on optimising D365BC to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
Additionally, this role contributes directly to the governance processes supporting key objectives, business application planning and implementation, and the delivery of measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
The Hoist IT D365BC Technical Consultant will be accountable for:
* Provide first-line technical support for finance team ERP applications, diagnosing and resolving technical issues within agreed SLAs.
* Analyse and evaluate D3565BC and other ERP applications/ modules/ extentions, configuring them to meet business unit needs.
* Design and implement system upgrades, configurations, and integrations – be the D365BC Admin
* Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance system performance.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop system specifications.
* Provide technical support and training to end-users.
* Create in-depth documentation, use ITSM and project delivery tools to evidence change.
* Provide support for D365BC data required for regular regulatory report creation and analysis.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
* Proven hands-on experience in developing, supporting and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
* Development experience across SQL and AL.
* Experience in working on multi-national projects and systems.
* Extensive experience with multiple ends to end implementations, experience with migrations, upgrades and greenfield projects.
* Ability to understand complex technical concepts, excellence in articulating ideas and presenting them simply to a non-technical audience, bridging the gap between technological and financial domains effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – flexibility is key.
* Ability to work independently.
* Experience within a fast-paced environment, traversing both high to low level business activities.
* 5+ years of relevant IT functional experience ideally in client-facing support.
* Experience with system integration and project management is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Finance.

* Data Analysis: Proficient in detailed financial data scrutiny such as creation of sql queries, to derive critical insights that influence strategic decisions,
