Head of Sales - FMH Conveyors International Ltd
To lead sales growth for FMH Conveyors International Ltd and Motion06 across the UK and Ireland markets, with a primary focus on new business development (80%). The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new customers, introducing innovative conveyor and automation solutions, and building long-term strategic relationships. The role also includes managing and nurturing existing customer accounts (20%), ensuring continued satisfaction, repeat business, and upselling opportunities. Success in this role requires a proactive, self-driven approach to sales, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal technical and support teams.
Responsibilities
* Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a focus on FMH Conveyors and Motion06 product lines within the UK and Ireland territory
* Conduct market research to uncover potential customers and industry trends, leveraging insights to build a robust sales pipeline.
* Initiate contact with prospects through cold calling, networking, and site visits, presenting innovative conveyor and automation solutions.
* Develop tailored proposals and quotations in collaboration with the Internal Sales and Technical teams.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce CRM to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver technically and commercially viable solutions.
* Monitor competitor activity and market developments to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
* Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, with a strong focus on new customer acquisition.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regional sales role for technical equipment (preferably material handling equipment)
* Proven success in new business development
* Experience and knowledge of conveyors and/or conveyor systems
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels and navigate customer hierarchies
* Experience using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
* Self-motivated and driven to pursue sales opportunities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK (and EU when required)
* Full UK driving licence
