Our Head of Lean opportunity offers you the perfect blend of strategy, delivery, and execution across our Screwfix Network, leading Operational Excellence principles and best-in-class practises for our customer.
Leading our team to implement Lean practises, whilst engaging with commercial/financial areas of our business, this is a cross functional collaborative opportunity to add value to our colleagues and operation. This is a pivotal leadership role to our success, you’ll be getting stuck in with sharing your SME knowledge through partnership and coaching, helping us deliver a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, facilitate and implement Lean tools, practises and culture across the business unit, through a strategic and results driven roadmap.
2. Facilitate Kaizen events, tools and training to improve areas in: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
3. Develop and coach leaders through mentoring, training and support in Lean/CI practises and approach.
4. Identify cross-functional improvement opportunities, challenging the status quo and highlighting opportunity for continuous improvement.
5. Lead and partner on Strategy Deployment, from facilitation to action plans with a focus on operational KPIS and effective root cause countermeasures.
6. Leverage analysis and data insight to develop business cases for change, measuring process improvement against target.
7. Engage colleagues and leaders to proactively utilise CI approaches and future ways of working.
This role offers a company car/allowance due to the requirement of being visible to all sites across Staffordshire/North-West.
What will you bring to our team?
8. Proven leadership experience in operational Lean projects, owned and delivered at large scale.
9. Experience in developing and delivering operational excellence and CI, utilising your certified Black Belt and Lean SME expertise.
10. Collaborative leadership style and approach, with experience of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
11. Process and results orientated, with a track record of implementing success through process improvements and controls within a supply chain environment.
