We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to open and lead a brand-new, two-bedded children's residential home in Stevenage. The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the home's leadership, compliance, and operational excellence. Your goal will be to create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where every child can feel secure, valued, and supported in their journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Register the home with Ofsted and ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Lead, manage, and support a high-performing team to deliver consistent, therapeutic care
* Build a child-centred culture that promotes emotional well-being, development, and independence
* Oversee all care planning, behaviour support, safeguarding, and risk management processes
* Collaborate with local authorities, social workers, families, and professionals to secure the best possible outcomes
* Manage the home's budget, staffing, and resources in line with operational goals
* Champion continuous improvement through reflective practice, audits, and quality assurance
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager in an EBD children's residential setting
Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards it)
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation, and regulatory frameworks
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a solution-focused mindset
A deep and genuine commitment to making a meaningful impact in young people's lives
