Assistant Accountant Location: Nottinghamshire (Hybrid working) Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE) Are you an ambitious finance professional actively studying and looking for your next step? The Role Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll support the month-end process, management reporting and budgeting activities, while gaining hands-on experience across the wider finance function. You’ll work closely with operational teams, contributing to improved financial insight and helping to embed stronger processes as the business evolves. Key Responsibilities Support the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and reconciliation Assist with preparation of management information Process and maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger activities Support credit control and monitor aged debt Assist with cashflow monitoring and bank reconciliations Help maintain accurate financial records and reporting schedules Provide general finance support across the team during busy periodsAbout You Actively studying (AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Experience within a finance function (manufacturing is desirable) Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Proactive, organised and eager to learn Keen to progress and build a long-term finance careerThis is an excellent opportunity for a driven Assistant Accountant who wants progression, exposure and the chance to grow within a transforming manufacturing business.
