Main duties of the job
Coventry and Warwickshire Mind have a new and exciting opportunity available. We recognise the importance of supporting our employees and are looking for an individual to join our HR Team to support the health and wellbeing of our workforce. This is a new and evolving role and we want someone to join us to support the development of this provision, by sharing ideas and their experience in this area.
As an Employee Health and Wellbeing Advisor, your primary responsibility is to cultivate a positive and supportive work environment by implementing comprehensive programs and initiatives that prioritise the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of our employees.
You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of mental fitness within the organisation, ensuring that our staff members feel valued, motivated, and equipped with the resources needed to thrive both personally and professionally.
Your efforts will contribute to enhancing overall employee satisfaction, reducing stress, and promoting a work-life balance that empowers individuals to achieve their full potential. Through proactive engagement, assessment, and the implementation of targeted interventions, you will be instrumental in creating an atmosphere where our team members feel supported, resilient, and inspired to contribute their best to personal and organisational success.

Coventry and Warwickshire Mind has been developing and delivering quality services with, and for, people with mental health issues for over fifty years.
An independent charity governed by a group of local trustees, Coventry and Warwickshire Mind is affiliated with the national Mind network, which is made up of over 105 organisations across England and Wales. Each local Mind is unique, working hard to understand the needs of their community and tailoring their services to match.
We want to make sure that everyone with poor mental health gets the support they need and the respect they deserve. This could mean having access to information, a listening ear, or more specialist support and services to help someone to live and recover from their mental health issue.
Coventry and Warwickshire Mind provide services to all ages, including children, young people and adults, supporting in excess of 30,000 people each year.

Job responsibilities
Service: Head Office
Job Title: Employee Health and Wellbeing Advisor
Location: Coventry and Warwickshire (regional and national where required)
Salary: £28,000 FTE
Hours: 30 - 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities include:
4. Design, develop, and implement comprehensive wellbeing programs, policies and processes to support the needs of our workforce.
5. Collaborate with HR, internal champions and other stakeholders to ensure initiatives align with organisational goals and values.
6. To develop a team of wellbeing champions, acting as the main contact point for employee mental fitness at work.
7. Provide confidential support and guidance to employees facing personal or work-related challenges, providing short term interventions, holding a small caseload where required and instructed.
8. Develop, organise and conduct webinars, peer support sessions, in person workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics related to workplace wellbeing stress management, vicarious trauma, work-life balance.
9. Collect and analyse data relating to CW Mind employee wellbeing, using feedback to design initiatives, assess the effectiveness of programs and make data-driven improvements.
10. To support staff during investigations, complaints, grievance or crisis situations in consultation with the Head of HR in line with the procedures of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.
Essential Criteria includes:
11. Experience of maintaining positive relationships, nurturing professionalism with colleagues at all levels and with external partners.
12. Experience of developing, delivering, facilitating to groups of people.
13. Experience of implementing, developing and delivering new projects.
14. Excellent communication, non-verbal, verbal and written.
15. Knowledge of mental health conditions and how they affect individuals.
16. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
17. Confident in public/group speaking.
18. Able to travel to sites/meetings across Coventry and Warwickshire.
