Job Opportunity: Relief Care Worker

The flexible shift pattern includes evenings, weekends, and waking nights.
We are seeking caring, reliable, and flexible Relief Care Workers to join our team of experienced support staff providing care to older adults living in Extra Care Housing. All services are located within 3 miles of each other and are accessible via public transport.
The three services are:
* The Laurels Care Home: an award-winning, small residential care home in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle.
* Heysham Garden: an Extra Care Housing Scheme located in the Brookside area of Carlisle.
* Burnside Court: an Extra Care Housing Service based in the Stanwix area of Carlisle.
Our Carlisle services focus on promoting independence, maintaining dignity, encouraging inclusion, and supporting overall health and wellbeing. You must be a warm, caring, and trustworthy individual committed to the welfare of others.
Relief Support Worker duties include:
* Providing emotional and practical support with personal care, household tasks, medication, diet, nutrition, and healthy living
* Encouraging residents to participate in social activities both within and outside the home
* Developing and maintaining warm, trusting relationships with service users
* Carrying out administrative duties and housing management tasks
Note: Due to the range of residents' abilities, a minimum of twelve months' prior experience supporting older adults with dementia is required. Our Carlisle service is on a main public transport route and is easily accessible.
As a Creative Support Bank Staff member, you will have access to our free app, allowing you to pick up shifts nationwide and providing information on services, shifts, and directions. You will be paid weekly.
