Description Transport Assistant | Salary £25,183 - £27,269 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Grade 5 International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Transport Assistant to enhance our friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Public & Integrated Transport Team. This is a permanent post, working full time and supporting the School Transport Team based in County Hall, Preston. The post-holder will be a point of contact for Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) enquiries from Lancashire's bus & taxi operators. This includes processing driver DBS applications through our screening partner Giant Screening and by appointment-based document and identity checks. The role also involves the post-holder liaising with Lancashire schools and bus operators in planning the school's early closures. Knowledge and Experience – You will have excellent organisational skills and experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
