Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lisburn for a dedicated Production Manager. The Production Manager will oversee daily operations in the manufacturing facility, ensuring processes are efficient, projects are completed on schedule, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include coordinating with design and installation teams, managing production schedules, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing strategies to optimize production performance.
Duties
* Manage daily production operations, ensuring schedules and output targets are achieved.
* Oversee steel fabrication and welding, component assembly, and finishing of steel-framed structures.
* Identify, analyse, and remove production bottlenecks, driving continuous improvement.
* Coordinate closely with the design team to ensure smooth transition from drawings to production.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, setting clear expectations and standards.
* Ensure quality standards and ISO requirements are met across all outputs.
* Manage procurement of materials and services, including supplier coordination, negotiations, and purchase orders, to ensure production runs smoothly and on budget.
* Direct logistics operations including scheduling, coordination, and the movement of materials and finished goods.Ensure compliance with HSE and all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Experience
* 5+ years' experience as a production manager ideally within steel fabrication/manufacturing field.
* Knowledge of steel processing, fabrication, welding or related industrial production settings is highly desirable.
* Proven ability to manage production schedules, workforce planning, and daily shop‑floor operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
* Clear and confident communication across multiple departments and levels of the organisation.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office
