Healthcare Assistant – Ward 40. Permanent vacancy. Band 2. Various hours available.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Ward 40 Team. If you are a healthcare assistant looking to work in a fast-paced, energetic, caring and supportive environment, then this is the post for you.
Responsibilities
1. Assist qualified nursing staff, as directed by the Nurse in charge, and ascertain treatments to be carried out.
2. Report on the general condition/appearance of patients to the Senior Nurse on duty. Maintain personal contact with patients through conversation and during treatments.
3. Maintain high standards of quality patient care and staff morale by personal example, good conduct and appearance. Participate in quality initiatives at Ward and departmental level. Attend Ward/departmental meetings and study lectures/training as required.
4. Maintain good standards of Department housekeeping under the direction of the Ward Sister.
5. To make Senior Sister aware of any problems/worries relating to sphere/area of work.
N/B Before performing these tasks, proven training must be received and documented in the training pack.
