We are currently seeking experienced Occupational Therapists for a range of opportunities within Adult Social Care services across North Yorkshire.
These roles are ideal for OTs with a strong background in community-based practice who are passionate about promoting independence and supporting individuals to live safely at home.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake strength-based Occupational Therapy assessments within Adult Social Care
2. Assess for and recommend appropriate equipment and minor/major adaptations
3. Complete moving and handling assessments, providing safe and practical solutions
4. Support service users and carers with the use of equipment and adaptations
5. Promote independence, reablement, and hospital avoidance
6. Work collaboratively with health professionals, housing teams, and partner agencies
7. Manage a varied caseload in line with service priorities
8. Maintain accurate and timely electronic records
9. Contribute to outcome-focused care planning in line with relevant legislation
Requirements
10. Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy
11. HCPC registration
12. Experience within Adult Social Care or community settings
13. Experience in:
14. Equipment provision
15. Moving and handling
16. Home adaptations
17. Good understanding of strength-based practice and relevant legislation (e.g. Care Act)
18. Ability to manage a busy caseload
19. Strong assessment, communication, and report writing skills
20. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
21. Eligibility to work in the UK
22. Driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
