We are looking for a senior-level, experienced, and capable colleague to work within L&Q’s Corporate Portfolio Management Office, part of L&Q’s Governance and Transformation Executive Directorate. They will join an agile, high-performing, and values-driven team at the heart of L&Q's programme of change, helping to turn L&Q’s five-year Corporate Strategy, Future Shape, into a reality.

For L&Q, this means delivering the best total cost solution for our customers through reliable, consistent, and repeatable products and services. The successful candidate will be naturally analytical and highly capable of analyzing complex programmes and projects, identifying plans, risks, and issues, and translating this information into understandable formats for colleagues across the Group. They should also be experienced in influencing at a senior level, excellent at communication and engagement, and able to develop colleagues and teams to their full potential.
They will be responsible for:
Support portfolio management activities across the Group related to our Transformation Programme, Change Projects, and Business Plans. Support and influence activity across the Group to demonstrate how L&Q’s five-year Future Shape Corporate Strategy will be delivered.
Lead in portfolio reporting, providing regular and insightful updates to L&Q’s governance groups, highlighting delivery risks and mitigation strategies.
Embed project and programme frameworks to ensure consistent and repeatable management, including benefits and portfolio reporting.
Lead on gap analysis across the Transformation and Change portfolio supporting the corporate strategy.
Facilitate the project lifecycle process to assess and make decisions on new change proposals, ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy.
For approved initiatives, facilitate mobilisation and ensure accurate translation of objectives into deliverables and outcomes.
We seek an established senior individual to bring stakeholders and teams together to define and deliver excellent outcomes for colleagues and residents.
The key skills and experience required include, but are not limited to:
Leadership
Experience leading both direct and indirect reports, enabling them to perform at their best, and delivering through others.
Portfolio Management and Assurance
Experience with portfolio, programme, and project management frameworks in large, complex settings.
Risk, Issue and Change Management
Ability to identify risks and issues, implement mitigation strategies collaboratively, influence, and escalate as needed. Experience in assessing change impacts for effective decision-making.
Communication and Influencing
Proficiency in communication across all levels and media, internally and externally. Strong influencing skills to operate successfully in a complex environment, focusing on operational excellence and simplification.
Digital Tools
Confidence in using Microsoft 365 and project management software, and extending their use for innovation and improved outcomes.
