Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a large, public sector organisation in Sheffield City Centre to recruit a temporary Accounts Assistant. This role offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. It is ideal for someone who has started their AAT studies and is seeking the next step in their career.
Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
1. Preparation of bank reconciliations
2. Handling simple accruals and prepayments
3. Reconciliation of supplier statements and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payments
4. Processing purchase and sales invoices promptly and accurately
5. Managing credit card transactions and expense claims according to company procedures
6. Processing payment runs efficiently and accurately
7. Setting up new supplier accounts, including relevant checks, and supporting staff with the process
Assisting with budget template preparation and general budget enquiries.
* Supporting payroll administration by liaising with HR and covering payroll-related tasks for the Finance Manager
* Providing general administrative support to the finance department, including document archiving
