Job responsibilities
As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you will look after the different needs of our residents to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will lead a team of care staff, providing training, supervision and delegating duties on shift. You will support medication administration and ordering, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GP's, district nursing teams and resident family members. You will respect the dignity and preferences of residents and help create a warm, welcoming environment.
About you
The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, previous experience in a residential care setting, and proven team leadership skills. You should be warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You can make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents.
