This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced team mid-year and guide a class through the crucial final months of primary education, supporting students as they build confidence and prepare for secondary school and their end-of-Key-Stage assessments. About the Role: Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to Key Stage 2 learners, with a particular focus on Year 6 Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported, valued, and motivated to learn Plan and differentiate lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and provide constructive, timely feedback Support pupils in preparing for end-of-Key-Stage assessments (SATs), helping them reach their full potential Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum development to ensure consistency and high standards Maintain open and effective communication with parents and carers to support each child’s academic and personal development Contribute actively to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values and ethos The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Recent experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally with a focus on Year 6 Confident in delivering the national curriculum and effectively preparing pupils for SATs Flexible, proactive, and responsive in adapting teaching strategies to meet pupils’ needs Strong classroom management and excellent organisational skills Able to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families Dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment Why Work with Supply Desk?
