Ward 7 is seeking a motivated and compassionate Junior Sister or Junior Charge Nurse to join our dedicated team on a part-time basis (34.5 hours per week).
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate a genuine passion for caring for elderly patients. A key focus of the role will be to promote independence and build confidence, supporting patients in their journey towards returning home. You will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Main duties of the job
* Take charge of the shift as a junior sister, working closely with the Ward Manager and medical staff to plan and manage patient care and discharge planning.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including therapists, the Consultant Geriatrician, and community services, to enable safe and timely discharge back into the community with additional support if needed.
* Lead liaison with patients and their relatives, requiring excellent interpersonal skills.
* Be a registered nurse with experience in caring for elderly patients, available for both day and night shifts.
* Have previous experience working within a medical area.
