The Base Supervisor is responsible for leading and controlling the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all activities are effectively planned, resourced, and executed safely, efficiently and in full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing and supervising Technicians and third-party personnel, coordinating maintenance, repair, and modification activities, and ensuring that all company equipment and assets are maintained in a safe, serviceable and operational condition at all times.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Plan, coordinate, and manage the activities of Technicians, including Base Technicians, offshore personnel, and third-party labour, deployed onshore for the maintenance, rebuild and modification of company assets and equipment.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all workshop and facility related tasks, requests and communications from employees and contractors.
* Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Security (HSEQS) policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
* Lead and oversee day-to-day workshop operations, including supervision of technicians, offshore crew, trainees, and third-party labour.
* Maintain effective organisation of workshop facilities, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability, serviceability, and safe use.
* Mentor and support apprentices and trainees, promoting skills development, safe working practices and career progression.
Education and Qualifications Specific to Role
Essential Qualifications/Experience
* Electrical, Hydraulic or Mechanical qualification (Minimum HNC or equivalent).
* Supervisory experience in a workshop or industrial setting.
* Personnel management experience with direct reports.
* Ability to develop and implement work schedules and plans.
Desirable Qualifications or Equivalent Experience
* Certifications in Overhead Crane, Forklift, MEWP, First Aid, Fire Warden are desirable.
