Salary: £55,000 per year + benefits package
We are seeking a proactive and professional Deputy Manager to build on the outstanding work already achieved at our home.
We recently received an excellent PAMs review with an overall good rating, and we are now awaiting our CQC inspection. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and technically skilled nursing professional who is passionate about progressing their career with a leading care provider.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, a proven track record in the care sector, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. We are looking for someone who is ready to contribute to our continued journey of excellence.

Reports to: Home Manager
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Support Management and Leadership: Assist the Care Home Manager in daily operations, step in during absences, and provide leadership to care staff.
2. Ensure Quality Care Delivery: Oversee person-centred care in line with individual plans, monitor residents' well-being, adjust care as needed, and manage medication safely.
3. Safeguarding Responsibilities: Act as safeguarding lead when necessary, identify and report abuse, and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
4. Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise, mentor, appraise, and train staff, maintaining best practice standards and identifying development needs.
5. Regulatory Compliance and Communication: Maintain accurate records, ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Skills and attributes
* Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
* The ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care services.
* Ability to identify referral pathways for safeguarding adults/abuse.
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
* Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and staff.
* Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans within the home.
Education and qualifications
* NMC registered nurse with relevant experience - essential.
