Salary: £91,615 – £103,835 + 5% on-call supplement
Location: Oxford
Hours: 37 per week – flexible working arrangements available

About the Role
We’re seeking an inspiring Public Health leader to join our high-performing team and help drive forward transformational change in a county known for collaboration, innovation and impact.
As Consultant in Public Health, you’ll:
1. Shape Oxfordshire’s strategic public health direction through system-wide partnerships
2. Lead priority areas including healthcare public health, intelligence/surveillance, and substance use prevention
3. Champion population health management and preventative approaches aligned with our 10-Year Health Plan
4. Collaborate with local NHS Trusts, the ICS, social care, and criminal justice partners
5. Manage and mentor a skilled team of around 10 public health professionals
6. Represent Public Health at executive-level meetings and contribute to regional teaching and audit
7. Embed a Marmot approach to tackling health inequalities head-on

8. A qualified Consultant in Public Health / Public Health Medicine
9. Srategic, courageous and skilled in influencing at all levels
10. Fluent in public health principles and real-world impact
11. Experienced in leadership, commissioning, and building sustainable change
12. Excited to collaborate across disciplines and drive forward Oxfordshire’s ambitious priorities
