Duties
* Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
* Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
* Train junior kitchen staff as needed, fostering a positive team environment
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of food preparation and service
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
* Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential
* A passion for creating high-quality dishes and delivering exceptional customer service
