CJS Recruitment are looking for an ambitious and results-driven National Accounts Manager to manage and grow key client relationships across the South of England within the civil engineering and construction sectors. This is a remote-based, permanent role, ideal for someone who thrives on building lasting partnerships and delivering tailored commercial solutions.
This position suits someone with a strong background in sales or account management, potentially stepping up from a Business Manager, Recruitment Consultant, or Sales Executive role, who is confident in working with professional buyers and understands the demands of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key national accounts within the civil engineering/construction space
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring a high standard of service and communication
* Work closely with internal teams and local branches to deliver on client expectations and project needs
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross selling services to maximise account value
* Build relationships with professional buyers and procurement specialists
* Develop account strategies to ensure client retention and long-term growth
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in a competitive landscape
Candidate Profile:
* Proven track record in account management, business development, or recruitment sales
* Strong commercial awareness and confidence in dealing with procurement professionals and senior stakeholders
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
* A positive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of motivation and ownership
* Familiarity with the civil engineering or construction industries
* Based in the South of England with flexibility to travel to client sites and branches as required
