Our client is one of thefastest growing companies in the UK in their field. They arecurrently looking for a Store Manager to join the team in theirHigh Wycombe branch.
Context of theRole:
The Store is the operationalheart of the company. The Store Manager is therefore pivotal inensuring company profitability through the provision of continuoussales activities excellent customer service and high levelorganisational management. The underlying functions of the StoreManager are:
* To ensure growth andmaximum profitability is achieved at alltimes.
* To market and sell both products and thecompany as one of the leading suppliers of its product type in theUK.
* To ensure a safe working environment forstaff and customers alike by adhering to H&S Policies andProcedures.
PrincipleObjectives:
* ThePrinciple Objective of the Store Manager is to develop and sustainactivities that ensure maximum profit and optimum customer serviceis achieved by the Store.
* To achieve this theStore Manager will:
* Achieve the financialtargets agreed for the Store;
* Ensure compliancewith company operational and financialprocedures;
* Continually seek opportunitiesavailable for increasing occupancy and revenue including unitmix;
* Design and carry out marketing and salesactivity plans with support from the RegionalManager;
* Respond effectively to the diverseneeds of each customer;
* Assist with therecruitment training and continual development of new and existingemployees;
* Ensuring the store presents itselfto a high standard of cleanliness;
* Making surethat all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to for thebenefit of customers and staff alike;
* Managemonitor and adapt the working practices of the Store staff toensure that the Store is operating to its optimumefficiency;
* Identify any store repair &maintenance issues report and followingup.
MainDuties:
* Ensure aMarketing Plan is in place to achieve the store financial targetsat all times ensuring it is carried outeffectively;
* Effectively manage and accuratelyrecord all enquiries using CMS;
* Monitor andimprove conversion rates and mystery shop scores of all staffthrough observation and coaching;
* Maintainawareness of local market conditions using competitor surveys andcustomer feedback;
* All standard and adhocreporting is accurate and timely and follows all current companyprocedures;
* Carry out quarterly PersonalDevelopment Plans (PDPs) and annual appraisals with all members ofthe team;
* Coach and support all members of thestore team to enable them to achieve their highest level ofpotential;
* Ensure rotas are fair to allapproved by the Regional Manager and appropriate to thestore
* Maintain company standards ofhousekeeping ensuring all areas portray a professionalimage;
* Account accurately and fully for allmonies received into and paid from theStore;
* Complete all managerial and monitoringduties associated with companycompliance;
* Ensuring a safe and healthyenvironment for customers and staff through accurate completion ofcompany checklists;
* Maintain Health and Safetytraining records and identify in advance licences and certificateswhich are due to expire and book the appropriate trainingcourse;
* To comply with Health and Safetylegislation and identify and report where action needs to betaken;
* To provide help and support to otherstores when required;
* Any adhoc duties arecompleted.
The IdealCandidate:
In order to besuccessful in the role the ideal candidate will have the followingrelevant experience
* At least 12 monthsexperience as a Store Manager gained in a commercial Retailenvironment. Our client may consider Assistant Manager levelcandidates from large Retail Footprints.
* Idealcandidates will have experience gained from a Retail sector where aclose engagement with customers is required and a consultativesales approach.
* Candidates from a Tradebackground are also invited to apply where there is full customerfacing interaction.
