What the Job Involves This role involves providing a dedicated social work service for mentally disordered offenders, participating in the AMHP rota, and conducting Mental Health Act Assessments. You will work collaboratively with other agencies, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with standards. Tasks include managing complex caseloads, developing and maintaining professional networks, and supporting colleagues and trainees. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of services, promote service improvement, manage resources effectively, and adhere to statutory responsibilities and organizational procedures. Skills Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) experience Expert knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Care Act 2014 Strong leadership and supervision capabilities High-level communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in statutory assessment and care planning Ability to work collaboratively in multi-agency environments Experience with forensic social work and managing complex cases Proficient in managing and utilizing case management systems Capacity for strategic thinking and implementing change Organizational and time-management skills
