Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building, Biochemistry Department, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QU Pay Scale: STANDARD GRADE 7 Salary (£): £41,997 to £46,913, salary inclusive of a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per year (pro rata for part time appointments) Location: Department of Biochemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford Contract type: Fixed-Term Hours: Full-time About the role The postholder will be part of the new Kavli Institute for NanoScience Discovery – an exciting multidisciplinary research centre comprised of research groups from several University of Oxford Departments including Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Pathology, Physiology and Engineering (). The successful candidate will work with the wider team in the Struwe Lab, contribute to the development of new research areas, present their research findings at international conferences and learn advanced methods in mass spectrometry and glycobiology – all with an emphasis on career development and research independence. This full-time fixed-term post is funded by the UKRI for up to 2 years. The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available. The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Kavli Institute for NanoScience Discovery and is available from October 1st, 2025. About you Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment. The research requires experience in bottom-up mass spectrometry, glycoproteomics and/or glycomics methods. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
