Job Overview
Manage the procurement workplan for Velindre University NHS Trust as part of the IPCVU team. Work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective delivery of the category strategy in line with organisational and policy goals. The team is based in Woodland House, Cardiff, with an element of home and agile working.
Main Duties
Leading the procurement workplan for a key NHS Trust; coordinating with internal and external partners; ensuring procurement activities meet strategic objectives; maintaining high standards of compliance, probity, and risk management; delivering savings and value for money; supervising staff where required.

* Proven experience delivering complex procurement projects
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience with contract legislation, compliance and probity issues
* Track record of delivering savings
* Experience of people/staff supervision
* Experience of managing risk
* Experience of category management
* Experience of engaging with and managing a wide range of stakeholders professionally
Essential Criteria – Qualifications
* Qualified to CIPS Level 5 (Advanced Diploma) or equivalent CIPS knowledge/experience
Desirable Criteria – Language
* Welsh speaker (desirable)
Desirable Criteria – Other skills and experience
* Understanding of complex category product knowledge
* Awareness of quality standards and ISO policies and procedures
* Experience of business planning
* ILM Level 4 (desirable)
