We are looking for a Data Operations Engineer to join our growing technology team. Someone who loves diving into SQL, optimising database performance, and ensuring data services run reliably across cloud and on-prem environments.
You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our enterprise data platforms, working closely with architecture, development, and analytics teams to deliver stable, secure, and high-performing data operations.
What you will be doing:
* Administer and maintain relational databases (SQL Server / Snowflake).
* Write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures.
* Manage Snowflake roles, warehouses, and data sharing configurations.
* Support data integrations via SFTP and REST APIs.
* Automate routine operational tasks using PowerShell or Bash scripting.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data delivery and platform stability.
* Work within ITIL frameworks (incident, change, problem management).
* Support ongoing data improvement initiatives across cloud and BI environments.
What we are looking for:
* Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases.
* Exposure to Snowflake, ideally including administrative functions.
* Knowledge of data operations, automation, and ITIL processes.
* Familiarity with SFTP, REST APIs, and data exchange best practices.
* Experience working with AWS or Azure data services.
* Comfort with PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
* Familiarity with Power BI or Business Objects is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
