Autumn is our busiest time of year where we need all hands on deck to support our busy operations. We then continue the busy period into December to welcome visitors for festive walks and enjoyable trails. We're looking to recruit a small team to support us in our car park, helping visitors find a space, make their way to visitor welcome and answering any questions they might have. This role will be visitor facing but predominately will be helping keep our car park operations working successfully. You'll be part of a wider team helping to welcome visitors through this period, reporting to the Duty Manager.You’ll be working outside, meeting and greeting people as the arrive, helping to show them where to park. You'll help to keep the car park and surrounding area neat and tidy, and you’ll be friendly and helpful to everyone you come across.You’ll be responsible for answering all manner of questions and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. The Car Park Assistant will be on hand to make sure that people who might never have visited before can understand the layout of the arboretum and all that it has to offer them. From that first moment of a friendly greeting to the helpful sharing of practical information, you’ll be helping to give everyone an enjoyable and memorable day out. This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible. This role will be primarily weekend working, to support our busy operational periods during autumn and Christmas. We would look for there to be some availability during school holidays, including October Half Term and Christmas.
