Role: Cover Teacher
Location: Torbay & Teignbridge
Contract: Full time or Part time - Flexible/Ad-Hoc
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, term time only
Salary: £120 - £160 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are working closely with a number of specialist schools in and around Torbay & Teignbridge who are looking to expand their network of skilled and reliable Cover Teachers. These inclusive and supportive settings cater for students with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
As demand continues to grow, schools are seeking adaptable teachers who can step into pre-planned cover roles across different age groups and learning needs. Whether you’re looking for full-time consistency or part-time flexibility, we can offer opportunities that suit your availability and experience.
About the role:
As a Cover Teacher, you will take the lead in delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of classes, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absence. There’s no planning or marking required - your focus will be on classroom delivery, pupil engagement and behaviour support.
You’ll be a valued member of the team, stepping into a range of classrooms and becoming a trusted, go-to figure across the school community.
We’re looking for educators who:
* Have teaching experience (qualified or unqualified in mainstream or SEN settings)
* Are confident managing behaviour and promoting a calm, consistent learning environment
* Can adapt quickly to different classes, age groups and learning needs
* Are passionate about supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH
* Thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment with a strong team ethos
