Working with several blue chip organisations in the retail/leisure and hospitality sectors, D&M Contractors are one of the South East's leading providers of building fabric maintenance. We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager to lead our established team of multi trade engineers completing small works (ranging in value from £1k- £20k) within predominantly commercial (hospitality focussed) properties. The Small Works Contract Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of multiple small project works, from initial receipt and assessment of client specifications to completion, whilst endeavouring to keep works within budget as well as meeting client expectations and KPI's. Project lifecycle includes - the selection and allocation of suitable engineers, scheduling attendance dates with clients and keeping them fully informed of developments and any potential issues that may occur throughout the project, procurement of materials/plant and providing allocated engineers with any technical support they may require throughout the project. Works require review on completion via engineer job reports and photographic evidence, to ensure that all required paperwork is in place to enable invoicing. There will typically be several projects ongoing at the same time so candidates will need to be able to manage multiple tasks and problem solve, whilst remaining focussed on meeting KPI's and ensuring profit margins are achieved. Whilst this is an office based role, it will benefit from encompassing either a Company Van or Car allowance to enable the candidate to travel to and from client sites to carry out surveys and further provide quotations when required. To summarise, we are looking for someone with lengthy experience in a similar small works/maintenance role who has a wide range of construction knowledge and experience, who is used to a faced paced, client and KPI driven role. A good working knowledge of MS Office (email, word and excel) and general computer literacy is a must as our clients use web based portals to keep abreast of works and as such these need regularly updating.
