Fixed term two year contract
Godalming College in Surrey is one of the best sixth form colleges in the country. It was inspected in November 2024 and once again was rated as outstanding. With high quality teaching and learning at the heart of our student experience, we consistently achieve impressive results. Our campus provides attractive and stimulating spaces in which to work and study reflecting our lively, vibrant ethos.
We are looking for an applicant with a relevant degree who is committed to starting a career in teaching. You must be enthusiastic and passionate about your subject as well as working with young people aged 16-19.
Trainees will be given a fixed term contract over the training period, which is two years, and will divide their time between teaching and learning support duties.
The PGCE training course fees will be paid by the College. We can offer a welcoming and supportive environment in which to do your teacher training.
As well as our academic success we are also proud of the welcoming and collaborative environment at the College and a few comments from our Autumn 2024 staff survey show that our staff feel the same.
‘The sense of community, common purpose, and kindness to each other. The willingness to help each other, support each other and look after each other. We are proud to be continually improving - which is a signature of Godalming College.’
‘Working every day supporting amazing young people, having kind and compassionate colleagues and making progress and learning for my own professional development.’
